Visual Integrity PDF Integration

Visual Integrity PDF integration allows applications based on Teigha for .dwg files to support various tasks related to working with PDF files. The optional PdfModuleVI module used for PDF integration is based on the Visual Integrity PDF FlySDK.

With this PDF integration, applications can:

  • Render PDF files referenced from .dwg files.
  • Generate previews of PDF files (for PDF underlay creation).
  • Snap to points for OdDbPdfUnderlay.

The picture below is a .dwg file containing several PDF underlay entities rendered with PDF support enabled (without this support the rendering for these drawings would be blank).

Supporting rendering for embedded PDF files is easy — just copy the PdfModuleVI module and supporting DLLs into your executable directory and make a few minor changes to your initialization code and build settings.

The PDF module is available for download by ODA members at the member area. However, a supplemental license agreement and additional fee are required to use the module.
